"Go into the arts. I'm not kidding. The arts are not a way to make a living. They are a very human way of making life more bearable. Practicing an art, no matter how well or badly, is a way to make your soul grow, for heaven's sake. Sing in the shower, dance to the radio, tell stories, write a poem to a friend, even a lousy poem. Do it as well as you possibly can. You will get an enormous reward. You will have created something" Kurt Vonnegut

This was a card I made for my daughters' birthday. She loves all things "ocean" so I created an underwater scene. I used white cardstock and used Distress Inks to create the sand and water. I used antique linen, walnut stain and tea for the sand. For the water I used faded jeans, peacock feathers, squeezed lemonade, shaded lilac and shabby shutters. The shell dimensional stickers are from K&Company, and the "meg" are some letter stickers I had that I applied Glossy Accents to so they would be dimensional. The bubbles are light green and white bling I had. Inside, it says "Happy Birthday to the Answer to the Universe and Everything"...LOL...Wonder if any of you can guess how old she is now???
I love the way it turned out...thanks for looking. Forgot to mention the water scene was sprayed with Perfect Pearls mist.
